19 weeks and GENDER REVEAL!!!

I am 19 weeks pregnant today. This pregnancy is really flying by! I had an appointment with the new doctor last week. Turns out, she is the same doctor who delivered my son. My doctor was not working the night he was born so another on-call doctor delivered him. And now she is my doctor. She is so nice and I really like her and her office. I am so happy to still have someone who knows my medical background and who can support me. I am definitely relieved and ready for the rest of this journey.
We had the 3D/4D ultrasound as well to see if the baby was ok. This baby is PERFECT and all the tests came back with no problems! The parents are so relieved and I am so happy for them! We also found out the sex of the baby early. We weren’t suppose to find out until the 20 week ultrasound but since we were there anyway, we asked. Any last minute guesses before I reveal?… Well, my guess was a girl, and I was wrong!! It’s a boy! I’m SO excited for them! I have a boy and he is the best!! Now everyone can start planning for his arrival. I am ecstatic for the parents! They are so happy and grateful for this miracle.
This Friday I have the 20 week ultrasound. I look forward to seeing the baby again. It’s such a gift to watch his parents look at him, and talk to him. They love him so much! I love being a surrogate!! This is one of the most amazing experiences I have been through. I will cherish these memories forever!
Other than that, now that I am starting to progress in the pregnancy I have gained 5 pounds. Not bad for almost 5 months pregnant. I am starting to crave more and more things, and I am losing the will power to not cave in. I will admit, I sat here writing this post eating some Oreo cookies.
Now I need to go make dinner with extra veggies to make me feel better about it. LOL! I’m trying not to be too hard on myself. After all, I am pregnant and have needs. But I am also aware that this is not my baby and I want to give it the best I can.
Well, that is all from me! I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and happy New Year!!!
