Updates

I wanted to give everyone a general update about appointments, medications, and weight loss. I went to Stanford again on Wednesday and had another ultra sound. This one was pretty unpleasant, more so then the last three. My doctor came in and with her was a nurse in training. The nurse in training did my ultra sound (hence why she was there) and when I say ultrasound; I am not talking about the one on the belly when they look at the baby, I am talking about the one that they put inside to see the inside of the ovaries…Now that I have put that lovely image into your head, lets move on! So ya, she was training…OUCH! The whole process usually takes maybe a minute or two, this time it seemed to be an eternity. (It was probably five minutes tops) I was counting down the seconds when she would be done. Eventually my doctor had to do it because it was taking forever. The over all experience wasn’t terrible, just unpleasant. Whenever I encounter a situation that involves some pain or discomfort, I always remind myself, “hey, you were in labor for 64 hours with NO epidural!! You can do it!”
Medication: I started my patches today. I am suppose to put one on in the morning and leave it on for two. After the two days I will need to take the patch off and put a new one on and the process continues. After a few days I will increase to two patches and ultimately three patches until the transfer. So next to all my bruises from the Lupron, (Which I am still injecting) I have my patch.
Weight loss goal and getting in shape: I have to say I am proud of myself! I have been getting regular exercise (I love you Bikram Yoga!) and I have been eating better! Not only have I been eating veggies every day, I also switched to Organic. It’s very important to my IP’s (intended parents) that I eat organic, so now is the perfect time to start! I have also cut way back on caffeine. In fact my coffee pot stopped working this week!!
I took it as a sign that I needed to stop drinking coffee. As far as losing actual weigh, I have only lost a pound. I’m not disappointed though because I know I am getting in shape, I can feel it. I also know that I am making better food choices and that is all that matters, and that is all I wanted. Please enjoy my random pics.

I actually think that they taste fresher. At least the ones I have eaten do.
